Free + Open Meditation Circle: Tools

All of these thoughts are my own - I ask that you trust your common sense + intuition to do what is right for you and your body always!

If you have not read about my move to Portland and the value I have found in consciously creating community, please check out this post.

If you have attended the free + open community meditation circle, thank you for showing up. If you would like to attend, we meet weekly on Thursday evenings from 7:15-8pm at The Grinning Yogi - PDX. No experience is necessary and if you don’t wish to talk at all or need special accommodations that’s fine! I will do my best to accommodate everyone’s unique needs. Please be aware that there is a heated yoga class from 6-7pm so doors open at 7:05pm and I suggest wearing layers. I often attend yoga before and I highly recommend checking it out if you’re a yogi — it makes for a full evening of self-care! Here is the address: 3110 SE Division St, Portland, OR 97202

How are you feeling about meditation?

Meditation is challenging. It asks you to access your attention + presence, while releasing judgements — human beings are really good at being inattentive, stuck in the future or past, and full of judgement these days so this is no small feat. I struggled with meditation for years before i committed to my daily practice. If you are considering taking on this practice, I have included some great places to start below. I would love to support you on your journey.

About me:

My name is Katie Templeton Colman. I am a life coach, certified yoga teacher, and owner of Ebb + Flow - a resource for daring creatives + empowered individuals willing to step up, do the work, and make a difference. I coach from a framework of meditation, mindfulness, compassionate communication, breathwork, and empathic listening. I believe in slow, sustainable living grounded in love, connection, and empowered growth. I believe you are whole + enough just the way you are.

If you would like to support this group, here are a couple ways to contribute:

  1. Attend a class at The Grinning Yogi - PDX or become a member

  2. Share kind or constructive thoughts you have with me so I can grow as a teacher

  3. Come back and bring friends - Who can you think of in your life who would benefit from sitting with us?

If you have any questions or are interested in working together please reach out over email.
