For anyone who is interested in starting a meditation practice, or would simply enjoy growing their practice in a loving, grounded community of like-minded people. Come meditate with us!
This class is a free offering from The Grinning Yogi on Thursday evenings.
There will be a 20 minute introduction and reading, followed by a 15 minute meditation in silence.
What to expect from sitting and practicing loving kindness together: As you meditate, wish yourself peace and happiness. Imagine yourself surrounded by a field of love. As you feel this love growing, imagine the field enveloping your family, friends, and, finally, all people on earth. Meditating for the well-being of ourselves and others is a powerful tool that allows us to cultivate peace. By wishing for the happiness of our loved ones, we are channeling an infinite amount of love through the universe. As we increase the amount of love in the world, we pave the way for greater peace not only in ourselves but also in others.
